I thought of you when I read that post by Hayes. When I stood with you amongst the media hordes on Wednesday, I didn't feel quite the same. I wasn't trying to figure out what was "important" and was just observing all who had gathered. The only thing I noted from the press core was the boredom of having to hear it all again. I think a spin room for a debate would be a more likely place for the "awkward" to follow the gang. When did they react to a comment from a debater? What was the response to the exchange from the better known amongst them. Reporting can be a lonely endeavor and the social instinct of humans may lead to the "pack behavior" of reporters. There are enough easily media sources now that I don't worry about that so much as I worry about is laziness that enables pre-determined views to frame how they cover events.
